A Message from our 2021-2022 President, Kirsten Tschofen
I am honored to serve as your elected President for a second year. As I’ve spoken to members this past year they have shared their stories of how important APWA is in their lives. Even during a pandemic year APWA has provided opportunities to meet new people and make new friends, grow and learn new skills ranging from golfing and sewing to planning events and fundraising, and the opportunity to give to our non-profit partners making a difference in our community. This is why I am so pleased to have the opportunity to continue to serve as President again this year.
This last year was challenging for APWA, as it was for many of our members, but the board is looking forward to renewing our efforts to reinvigorate our organization, by keeping the wonderful traditions of the past, and beginning new ones. We are excited to tap into the positive energy and talents that members of our
Melinda is a 4th generation Alaskan who loves enjoying the state's majesty with others. Her husband works at Oil Search Alaska, and she helps people afford houses through Finance of America. In their spare time, they rehab homes and enjoy rafting, snowmachining, hiking, and snow shoeing.
