APWA Activity Groups allow you to do more of the things you enjoy and meet up with other women in Anchorage who share your interests. Choose from an assortment of existing groups or think about creating your own group so others can join in with what you’re passionate about.
Below are the activities currently offered on a weekly, monthly, or event basis. Some are in person and others are via zoom so you can find a group that fits into your social interaction comfort zone during these COVID times. Also below is a VIDEO that will showcase all our currently active groups. Please feel free to email our Activities Chair or complete the Activity Group Interest Questionnaire below and you will be contacted with more information.

Looking for a casual mid-day reset to catch up, chat, and drink with fantastic women? Join us for our new monthly gathering, Cafe Call!
We meet on the second Wednesday of every month from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
For 2026, we will meet at SteamDot on O’Malley, but plans for 2027 include a monthly rotation at local cafes.

A weekly meeting to hike and cross country ski on the many beautiful trails around Anchorage. The group leader will send out information about the trail, where and when to meet and you are welcome to join. Most hikes are intermediate level.
