The 2018-2019 Special Projects Committee is pleased to announce that the theme of the Anchorage Petroleum Women's Foundation's February 9, 2019 Gala event, in support of Alaska Resource Education, will be "An Evening of Exploration." Guests are encouraged to dress in metallic fabrics and embrace the gold and black colors so prominent throughout Alaska's resource development industry. The Special Projects Committee, led by Special Projects Committee Chair Holly Lee and Deputy Chair Wanda Maxey, announced the theme at the October 17, 2018 Monthly Gathering Luncheon at Kinley's Restaurant.

Individual tickets for the event will be sold starting November 1 from our website's Non-Profit Partner Gala page. Corporate sponsorships are currently available, and the Gala Committee also is accepting donations for the annual silent and live auctions. Contact specialprojects@ancpwa.org to learn more about these opportunities.

We are proud to announce that the Anchorage Petroleum Wives Club
has been named the 2015 Non-Profit Partner of the Year by
Beans' Cafe and the Children's Lunchbox.

This distinction is awarded to a local community partner that meets the following criteria:
  • Demonstrated passion for the mission of the organization
  • Engagement and activity within the program
  • Going the extra mile
  • Advocacy on behalf of The Children's Lunchbox

Gala Chair (2014-2015) Keryl Vincent and Deputy Chair Susie Macleod, along with APWC President Holly Lee and Board Member Zoe Smith, were recognized at the Volunteer & Partner Award Ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015. APWC's name will be engraved on the plaque that hangs year-round at Bean's Cafe.

We remain so grateful to our members who wholeheartedly embraced The Children's Lunchbox as our chosen charity for 2014-2015. The efforts they made, whether it was volunteering at The Children's Lunchbox kitchen, working on the gala committee, donating money at our luncheons, or attending the gala event in February, came together to make support of this year's charity incredible.

Thank you to The Children's Lunchbox and Bean's Cafe for this honor and the partnership we've had with them this year. We are humbled to have made a difference in our community and for the children this program serves. For more information about The Children's Lunchbox, please visit http://www.beanscafe.org/.
