APWA receives "Together we can" award
On Tuesday, February 13th, 2018, APWA was proud to be awarded the ‘Together We Can’ Award as part of the Arc’s Shining Stars, Big Hearts ceremony. The Arc of Anchorage hosts the annual ceremony to recognize partners and volunteers who make a difference in their organization and the community.
DECEMBER 2017: "Cheers to 60 Years"

"ANCHORAGE , Alaska -In 2018, the Anchorage Petroleum Women's Association celebrates it's 60th anniversary alongside its nonprofit partner for the year, The Arc of Anchorage, which celebrated this anniversary in 2017." MAY 2017: We are so pleased to announce that APWC's affiliated non-profit, The Anchorage Petroleum Wives Foundation, raised $39,272.44 for The Alaska Zoo, our 2016-2017 non-profit partner. These funds will be put towards the Zoo’s Animal Outreach Program, which provides students the chance to interact with zoo educators and ambassador animals. Thank you to our members, as well as the many individual and corporate donors in the community, who helped make this possible!
MAY 2016: APWC is proud to announce that our affiliated non-profit, the Anchorage Petroleum Wives Foundation, raised $46,364.53 for our 2015-2016 non-profit partner, the Alaska Botanical Garden. The Alaska Botanical Garden will use these funds to support educational programming for Anchorage School District (ASD) students and their families. In particular, ASD will use the funds to add Title 1 schools to the ASD 21st Century Learning Center After School Program and continue curriculum development for the program.

OCTOBER 2015: We are proud to announce that the Anchorage Petroleum Wives Club has been named the 2015 Non-Profit Partner of the Year by Beans' Cafe and the Children's Lunchbox.
This distinction is awarded to a local community partner that meets the following criteria:
Demonstrated passion for the mission of the organization
Engagement and activity within the program
Going the extra mile
Advocacy on behalf of The Children's Lunchbox
2015 Gala Chair Keryl Vincent and Deputy Chair Susie Macleod, along with APWC President Holly Lee and Board Member Zoe Smith, were recognized at the Volunteer & Partner Award Ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015. APWC's name will be engraved on the plaque that hangs year-round at Bean's Cafe.
We remain so grateful to our members who wholeheartedly embraced The Children's Lunchbox as our chosen charity for 2014-2015. The efforts they made, whether it was volunteering at The Children's Lunchbox kitchen, working on the gala committee, donating money at our luncheons, or attending the gala event in February, came together to make support of this year's charity incredible.
Thank you to The Children's Lunchbox and Bean's Cafe for this honor and the partnership we've had with them this year. MAY 2015: APWC is proud to announce that our affiliated non-profit, the Anchorage Petroleum Wives Foundation, raised $122,292.77 for our 2014-2015 non-profit partner, The Children's Lunchbox. The Children's Lunchbox will use the funds to support its weekend meal program, which on Fridays provides students in Anchorage School District (ASD) Title 1 schools with easy-to-prepare meals to eat during the weekend.
